No Bull, it's a Cow Farm: There is one other tourist attraction of Kobayashi, but coming from Australia it didn't excite me much. I am talking about the cow farm, but the only thing was that there were no cows in sight! I think they were in the shed on left hand side of the picture. Maybe the cows thought it was too cold to come outside or maybe the farmer thought it was too cold to let them go outside.
Directly behind me (from the point of view of the photo above) was a very swish looking visitors centre where you could find out everything you wanted to know (and probably a lot of things you didn't want to know) about cows as long as you could read Japanese. Also the centre had samples of a lot of cow products. There also were cow products and souvenir boxes for sale and restaurant which overlooked the farm, all in an attempt to milk as much money as possible out of the tourist.
This is also the first time I came across the Japanese fake wooden fences. These fences from a distance look like wood, but a close inspection revealed they were moulded plastic filled with concrete. Actually it isn't really hard to find these fake wooden fences in Japan, they are everywhere.
