
Praying Hands: In the photo above you can see three of the Gassho-Zukuri houses, Gassho-Zukuri is Japanese for "hands in prayers". These houses are unique to only two small areas in Japan, Shirakawa-go and near by Gokayama. That's why they have UNESCO world heritage listing.1
After lunch I got to do a few snow activities like making a snow man and having snow ball fights. Then we made the long trip back to Ritsuko's brother's in-laws house where we had another feast!
