A photo of the Tokyo Tower taken from the base looking up.

Continuous Improvement: We finally got to the Tokyo Tower. Firstly when I got their I was shocked to see that there was a separate line for foreigners. Then I got shocked at the price (800yen or $10.00AUD) and I was shocked again when I found it only got you to the halfway lookout and then you have to pay again (600yen or $7.50AUD) if you want to go to the top, but they don't say that at the bottom that the fare is only for halfway up.1

Japan is a country that is famous for its ability to improve on things and for Kaizen (continuous improvement) 2. The Tokyo Tower as you can see from the photo above looks similar to the Eiffel Tower, but it is only 4/7 of the weight and 13m higher, because of the advancements in steel making methods in 1958 when the Tokyo Tower was built.3
